Ani-One Ultra Streams Overlord II Anime on August 2

Anime season streams at 2:30 p.m. IST for ULTRA members

Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel announced on Facebook on Wednesday that it will stream Overlord II, the second season of the television anime of Kugane Maruyama's Overlord novel series, for its ULTRA subscription members. The anime will stream on August 2 at 2:30 p.m. IST.

The series premiered in Japan in January 2018.

Naoyuki Itou returned as director, along with Yukie Sugawara on series composition. Satoshi Tasaki (Rideback, Fairy Musketeers, No Game, No Life Zero) joined previous character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu on character designs. Madhouse returned to animate series.

The first 13-episode Overlord television anime series premiered in Japan in July 2015. Ani-One began streaming the first season or ULTRA members on July 1.

The franchise also includes two compilation films and a third television anime season. The first compilation film, Overlord: Fushisha no Ō, opened in Japan in February 2017. Netflix began streaming the film in India in July 2020.

The second film, Overlord: Shikkoku no Senshi, opened in March 2017. Netflix began streaming the film in India on in July 2020.

The show's third season premiered in July 2018. The staff of the anime confirmed in May that the franchise will get a fourth television anime season and a brand-new anime film project.

Kugane Maruyama began the original Overlord light novel series online in 2010, and Kadokawa's Enterbrain imprint began publishing the series in print with illustrations by so-bin in 2012. The 15th volume shipped on Monday, and the series will end with its 17th volume. Yen Press is releasing the novel series in English. The company is also releasing Hugin Miyama and Satoshi Ōshio's manga adaptation.
