Detective Conan Spinoff Manga Hannin no Hanzawa-san, Zero no Tea Time Both Get Anime

Manga's Gakkō Hen Wild Police Story spinoff work also gets anime

Shogakukan announced on Monday that two spinoffs of Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan manga — Mayuko Kanba's Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san manga and Takahiro Arai's Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time manga — will get anime adaptations. Shogakukan revealed a visual for both anime and is also streaming a teaser video for the anime.

Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san is a gag manga that stars the black-silhouetted "criminal" that appears in Detective Conan chapters to represent the mystery culprits. The manga debuted in Shōnen Sunday S in May 2017. The manga's sixth compiled book volume will ship in Japan on October 18.

Arai launched the ongoing Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in May 2018. The manga began serializing chapters only when the main Detective Conan manga took hiatuses (Aoyama has frequently put the manga on hiatus for research since July 2018). The manga's fifth volume will ship on October 18.

The spinoff manga centers on the daily life of the "threefaced" operative, known as Rei Furuya to the National Police Agency, Tōru Amuro as a private detective and Café Poirot waiter, and Bourbon as a member of the Black Organization.

Arai's Meitantei Conan Keisatsu Gakkō Hen Wild Police Story (Detective Conan: Police Academy Arc Wild Police Story) spinoff manga series is also inspiring a television anime adaptation.
