Sequel to Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette from author of Whisper of the Heart launched in 2018

The 35th chapter of Aoi Hiiragi's Hoshikuzu Serenade: Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette another story (Stardust Serenade: The Pupil of a Star another story) manga revealed on Friday that the manga will end in its next chapter.

The manga is a sequel to Hiiragi's Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette manga, and it launched on Tokuma Shoten's Comic Tatan website in December 2018. The manga also runs on the Comic Zenon website. Takeshobo published the manga's fourth volume on March 18, and will publish the fifth volume on December 20. Amazon lists the fifth volume as the final volume.

The story is set 20 years after Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette. The story follows Yuzuki Setogawa, a new college student who meets an attractive man on the day of her entrance ceremony.

The original manga ran in Shueisha's Ribon magazine from 1985-1989. The manga follows best friends Kasumi and Mariko, who both fall in love with the same person. The series' catchphrase is "a bible for 2.5 million girls."

A sequel titled Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette ~Engage~ followed the characters as they graduated high school and began college. The first two chapters of Engage debuted in the 1990s, and the sequel continued in 2015 with new chapters that were compiled into a volume titled Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette -Seishun Finale- (Youth Finale) in 2017.

Hiiragi also drew the Mimi o Sumaseba (Whisper of the Heart) and Baron, Neko no Danshaku (Baron: The Cat Returns) manga, which both inspired anime films from Studio Ghibli.
