On Monday November 22, Funimation will release the complete Kyoto Animation mystery series Hyou-ka!, including the 22 TV episodes and the OVA ("11.5"). It will be released in limited and standard Blu-ray editions; the limited edition will include six art cards and a 32-page art book.
The story follows a boy named Hōtarō who is not assertive about getting involved, but was ordered by his older sister to join the classic literature club. In the club, he gets close to the truth about an incident, involving a female member's uncle, which happened 33 years ago. The "energy-saving" boy is joined by an inquisitive girl in this adolescent mystery.
Kyoto Animation's 22-episode television anime premiered in 2012. Yasuhiro Takemoto (Amagi Brilliant Park, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu) directed the anime, Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) handled series composition, Futoshi Nishiya (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, A Silent Voice) designed the characters, and Kōhei Tanaka (Onihei, The Laughing Salesman) composed the music.
Funimation will also release Black Clover Season 3 Part 5 as a Blu-ray/DVD, carrying episodes 142 to 154 of the series. This edition will include an art book. Funimation describes the series:
"Standing on the border between banishment and belief, Dazu turns vengeful when the Magic Knights fail to protect Tiulyu. Resentment grows throughout the Common Realm, and the Wizard King knows that unity is the only way to survive the impending war."
Goblin Slayer, pictured right, is the 2018 dark fantasy series set in a violent world, about an adventurer who is legendary for killing goblins. It was animated by the White Fox studio.
DARLING in the FRANXX, pictured left, is the 2018 SF/mecha series about teenagers who fight monsters called Klaxosaurs. In the series, they are joined by a girl called Zero Two, who is rumoured to be part-Klaxosaur herself.
