Ani-One Asia Adds 6 Simulcast Anime for Winter 2022 Season

Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel announced last week and this week that it will stream the television anime of Shinkoshoto's The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest (Shikkaku Mon no Saikyō Kenja) light novel series, the television anime of Shō Harusono's Sasaki and Miyano manga, the anime of Hiroaki Mizusaki's Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department (Kaijin Kaihatsubu no Kuroitsu-san) manga, the anime for Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games' new Tribe Nine project, the television anime of Shinobu Ohtaka's Orient manga, and television anime of Aya Kanno's Requiem of the Rose King (Bara-Ō no Sōretsu) manga. The latter two will be available only for ULTRA subscribers.

Ani-One Asia will begin streaming The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest on January 8. Ani-One describes the anime:

The world's most powerful sage decided to reincarnate in the future world for greater magical power. Reborn as Mathias, he unfortunately discovered that knowledge of magic has drastically deteriorated in this era, and his crest was regarded as the weakest one?! Matthias is going to show us his incredible power!

Noriaki Akitaya is directing the anime at J.C. Staff, and Hiroki Uchida is supervising the series scripts.

The duo fripSide is performing the opening theme song "Leap of faith." Voice actress Yuki Nakashima is performing the ending theme song "Day of Bright Sunshine."

The Sasaki and Miyano stream will premiere on January 10. Ani-One describes the anime:

Miyano is a high school junior who secretly loves BL manga and has a feminine looking face. An encounter made senior Sasaki who knows nothing about BL inexplicably fascinated by him. A love story between these two high school boys is going to begin!

Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Talentless Nana) is directing the anime at Studio Deen. Takahiro Ueno is the assistant director. Yoshiko Nakamura (Super Lovers, Shōnen Maid, Tada Never Falls in Love) is in charge of series composition. Maki Fujii (I've Always Liked You, The Moment You Fall in Love, Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.) is designing the characters.

The five-member band Miracle Chimpanzee is performing the opening theme song "Mabataki" (Blink) is the band's first single on a major label, while Yusuke Shirai and Sōma Saitō are performing the ending character theme song "Ichigo Sunset" (Strawberry Sunset) as their respective characters.

The cast members are all reprising their roles from the manga's previous drama cds.

The stream for Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department will premiere on January 8. Ani-One describes the anime:

Secret Society: Agastia is the organization where people develop monsters to battle the heros. Miss Kuroitsu lives a busy life there together with Dr. Sadamaki, dealing with numerous challenges every day! Defeating an invincible hero is just that simple!

Kaori Maeda voices protagonist Tōka Kuroitsu, while Satomi Amano voices Wolf Bate. Yuichiro Umehara voices Professor Sadamaki.

Hisashi Saito (Haganai, The Testament of Sister New Devil, Heaven's Lost Property) is directing the anime at Quad. Katsuhiko Takayama (Ga-Rei-Zero, And Yet the Town Moves, Aldnoah.Zero) is in charge of the series scripts. Kazuya Morimae (Haganai, The Testament of Sister New Devil animation director) is designing the characters for animation.

Male idol group AXXX1S is performing the anime's opening theme song "Special Force." All-female idol group Maybe Me will perform the show's ending theme songs "Aimai Identity" and "Destiny." YURiKA is performing the insert song "Miracle Step."

The stream for Tribe Nine will premiere on January 10. Ani-One describes the anime:

In the country of Neo-Tokyo in the year 20XX, the young generation is depressed of the society. To find a sense of belonging, they gang up to form “TRIBE”.
Pitching, hitting, and slugging it out. With their pride on the line, people go crazy for this intense game…

Funimation is co-producing the anime. Yu Aoki is directing the anime at Liden Films. Michiko Yokote is supervising the series scripts, and Yosuke Yabumoto is adapting Rui Komatsuzaki (Danganronpa franchise) and Simadoriru's original character designs for animation. Masafumi Takada (Danganronpa franchise) is composing the music, and Lantis is producing the music. Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa franchise) is credited with the original story concept, and Akatsuki's Shūhei Yamaguchi is serving as chief producer.

The project also features a Webtoon and a smartphone 3D action role-playing game.

Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games announced the project in February 2020 with several project team members from the Danganronpa franchise.

The stream for Orient will premiere on January 6.

Ani-One describes the anime:

Under the rule by demon for 150 years, only samurai fighting against all odds. Musashi and Kojiro pursue to be samurai and form a league in order to go on demon-slaying quests.

Da-iCE will perform the opening theme song "Break Out," and Hatano will perform the ending theme song "Naniiro."

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Shattered Angels, High School DxD, Senran Kagura Shinovi Master) is directing the anime at ACGT. Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm, Magimoji Rurumo, Hatsukoi Limited) is in charge of series scripts. Takahiro Kishida (Serial Experiments Lain, Baccano!, Haikyu!!) is designing the characters. Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Flowers of Evil, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu) is composing the music.

The stream for Requiem of the Rose King will premiere on January 10 in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

It will premiere on January 24 in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Ani-One describes the anime:

Neither male nor female, but instead possessing characteristics of both sexes, young Prince Richard III is treated as “the son of devil” by his mother. Aiming to help his father to get the throne, he is involved in a merciless war- Wars of the Roses. But after an encounter with a mysterious man, his life is changing. A dark fantasy is going to stage.

The anime will air for two consecutive cours (quarters of a year), for a half-year continuous run.

Kentarō Suzuki (Angels of Death, Kud Wafter) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff, and Hiroki Uchida (Days of Urashimasakatasen, Gamers!, Merc Storia: The Apathetic Boy and the Girl in a Bottle) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Chikara Hashizume is designing the characters. Additional staff members include Kentaro Izumi (A Certain Scientific Railgun T) as the art director, Mayumi Tanahashi as the color designer, Akihiro Takahashi as director of photography, Yoshikazu Iwanami as the audio director, Kou Otani as the music composer, and Lantis as the music producer.

Voice actor Makoto Furukawa will perform the opening theme song "Ware, Bara ni Insu." Arika Takarano from ALI Project is writing the song. ZAQ will perform the ending theme song "Akumu."

The manga's dark fantasy story adapts Shakespeare's Richard III.
