Ani-One Asia announced on Facebook on Friday that it is streaming Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie, the two new Yu Yu Hakusho OAV episodes "Two Shots" and "All or Nothing" from 2018, Yu Yu Hakusho: Eizou Hakusho, Yu Yu Hakusho: Eizou Hakusho II, and several other OVAs and home video bonus content on its YouTube channel. The titles are available to Ani-One Ultra subscribers.

Alongside India and Hong Kong, all the titles will stream in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Guam, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Netflix began streaming the Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files anime in India in June 2020.

Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter x Hunter) published the original Yu Yu Hakusho manga from 1990 to 1994. Viz Media began publishing the manga in its English edition of Shonen Jump in 2002, and it also released all 19 volumes. The manga follows 14-year-old delinquent Yusuke Urameshi, who dies after saving a child in a car accident. The Spirit World is surprised by his death and offers him a chance to come back as a "spirit detective" who is tasked with defeating demons.

The television anime adaptation ran from 1992 to 1995, and spawned two films and two original video anime (OVAs). A new anime that adapted the "Two Shot" bonus chapter from the manga's seventh volume, as well as the manga's penultimate chapter "All or Nothing," shipped with the fourth part of the anime's 25th Anniversary Blu-ray Box collection in Japan in October 2018.

The manga inspired the Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle (100% Serious Battle) smartphone game that reunites the anime's cast members. The game launched in 2018. The manga also inspired a stage play that ran in Japan from August to September 2019. The manga is also inspiring a live-action series on Netflix.
