Animax Asia Airs Simulcast of Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible Anime

Animax Asia announced last week that it will air a simulcast of the television anime of Nene Yukimori's Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible (Kubo-san wa Mob o Yurusanai) manga, and will also air the television anime of Shinkoshoto's My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World! (Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life: Daini no Shokugyō o Ete, Sekai Saikyō ni Narimashita) light novel series. Both anime will premiere on Wednesday.

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible will debut on Animax Asia at 10:30 p.m. GMT +8. The anime will premiere in Japan on Tuesday.

Viz Media is releasing the manga in digitally and in print in English. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service is also releasing the manga in English digitally, and it describes the story:

First year high schooler Junta Shiraishi is a mob character who goes unnoticed even when he's standing right next to you. But his classmate, "heroine-level beauty" Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings "love." Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy--let's call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!

Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend both seasons, Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color) is directing the anime at studio PINE JAM (Do It Yourself!!, Kageki Shoujo!!). Yūya Takahashi (Laughing Under the Clouds, Lupin III: Part IV, Luck & Logic) is both overseeing and writing the series scripts, and Yoshiko Saitō (Comic Girls) is designing the characters for animation.

Kana Hanazawa will perform the opening theme song "Dramatic Janakutemo" (Even Though it's Not Dramatic). Hanazawa will mark the 20th anniversary since her debut as a voice actress in 2023, and this will be the first time she has both starred in and provided a theme song for an anime. Dialogue+ will perform the ending theme song "Kasuka de Tashika".

My Isekai Life will debut on Animax Asia at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8, and will air two episodes every Wednesday and Thursday.

The anime premiered in Japan in July 2022. Ani-One Asia previously streamed the anime in Southeast Asia as it aired in Japan.

The story centers around Yūji Sano, who works at a company that is harsh on its employees. After bringing some overtime work back home, he gets a message on his computer: "You have been summoned to an alternate world!" It is a game-like world, complete with status bars and skills. Yūji tames a slime monster and thus becomes a tamer. Then, he suddenly attains a second profession — sage — and awakens magical powers within himself. Yūji's alternate world adventure begins when he follows a slime, that seemingly weakest of all monsters.

Keisuke Kojima (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Babylon) directed the anime and designed the characters at REVOROOT. Kiyotaka Suzuki (FLCL Alternative) was the assistant director. Naohiro Fukushima (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level) handled the series scripts. Norihito Saitama was the chief animation director and additional character designer.
