Music Ray'n Suspends Activities of Voice Actress Moka Hinata, States She 'Engaged in Conduct That Damaged Trust'

Talent agency Music Ray'n announced on Monday that it has suspended all activities of voice actress Moka Hinata until the end of December 2026, after it has confirmed that Hinata has engaged in conduct that has "severely damaged trust" with the parties involved. The company did not reveal details of the incident, but stated that actions that violate laws or regulations have not been identified in connection with the incident. Music Ray'n apologized to all parties concerned and to everyone who has supported Hinata and her vocal unit DayRe:. The company added that it will review its management system to prevent a similar incident from happening again, and put the utmost effort into regaining the trust that was lost. 

Hinata apologized to fans and those involved on her on X (formerly Twitter) account, and stated she will take time to reflect on herself in the hopes of being able to reunite with her fans one day.

Hinata voiced the character Mei Hayasaka in the 2021 anime Idoly Pride. She also voiced characters in several anime including Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included; Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year, First Semester; As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill; I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level 2; and Stella of the Theater: World Dai Star.

The DayRe: vocal unit consists of Kanata Aikawa, Mirai Tachibana, Kokona Natsume, Hinata, and Koharu Miyazawa. The group was formed after passing the 3rd Music Ray'n Super Voice Actor Audition that was held in 2017.
