Hidari Yokoyama Launches Ayaru's Brush with Romance Manga

Manga creator Hidari Yokoyama launched a new manga titled Ayaru's Brush with Romance (Ippitsu Ayaru) on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ service on Sunday. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service is releasing the manga in English simultaneously.

MANGA Plus describes the manga:

Since his first name is written with an obscure kanji that's difficult to read, second-year high school student Ayaru Kagami has never once been called by it. Then one day, he falls in love with a girl in Shodo Club—Kyono Chinzei. Desperate to get closer to her, he joins the Shodo Club...and ink fills the pages of his adolescence with romance!

Yokoyama launched the Moebana manga on Shonen Jump+ in June 2022, and it ended in March 2023. Shueisha published the manga's first volume in September 2022, and the fourth and final volume in May 2023. The MANGA Plus service released the manga in English.

Yokoyama launched the Tsuruko Returns the Favor (Tsuruko no Ongaeshi) manga on Shonen Jump+ in August 2023, and ended it in May 2025. Shueisha released the manga's fifth and final volume in June 2025. MANGA Plus also released the manga in English.
