Alteil, Japan's #1 Online Card Game, Invades U.S.

Media Blasters and Dex Entertainment are proud to announce the creation of an American version of Alteil, Japan's number one online fantasy card game, bringing Stateside four years worth of incredible art, innovation, refinement and game content. Since its launch, excitement for Alteil has spread worldwide. With its continuously evolving storyline — using virtual cards representing characters and spells that enrich and deepen the adventure — Alteil emphasizes a fun (and free) fantasy experience that combines the style of a Japanese fantasy RPG with the fun of a dueling card game.

Alteil is easy and fun to pick up and play, anytime, anywhere. Alteil has no downloads, no clients and is 100% web-driven, making it playable on any computer with a web browser. Best of all, it's totally free. Simply sign up for an account and you can choose and customize your own free starter set that will allow you to play immediately. While you can buy additional cards to expand your capabilities, it is not required for a complete experience.

Each card is its own work of art, with breathtaking designs from Japan's masters of fantasy art. Alteil's artists include such luminaries as designer Katsuya Terada (the Hellboy film, Tekken 5), and illustrators Hitoshi Yoneda (Phantasy Star, Xanadu II), Rei (the Code Geass manga) and Yuji Kaida (Godzilla and Gundam models).

Media Blasters is a New York based company known for being one of the nation's leading distributors of Japanese animation and live-action on DVD and television. In its ten-year history, Media Blasters, through its AnimeWorks label, has released such renowned fantasy classics as Rurouni Kenshin, Berserk and Voltron: Defender of the Universe on DVD. Recently, Media Blasters has expanded its scope to include original productions and anime game adaptations.

Dex Entertainment, founded in 2003, specializes in film and DVD acquisition and distribution (including Suspiria, Night of the Living Dead and The Crow), and the online card game, Alteil. Dex's major shareholder is Index Holdings, a world leader in mobile contents solutions. Dex partners are Mad House, Japan's leading animation studio, and Interchannel-Holon Inc., a PC game software production company.
