February 19, 2013 LOS ANGELES and TOKYO - HAPPINET CORPORATION, a comprehensive entertainment trading company of toys, visual and music software, video games, and amusement products in Japan, and Inception Media Group, LLC, a diversified media company specializing in the production, acquisition and distribution of filmed entertainment, today announced the launch of HAPPINET's newly created Manga2.5 digital media format, which is now available exclusively on the iTunes Store: www.itunes.com. Manga2.5 is the first-ever high-definition English-language "motion comic" made from traditional Japanese manga.

Manga2.5 brings traditional manga to life by maintaining each and every frame and integrating English language acting, animation, motion, coloring and sound.

Manga2.5 is now available on the iTunes Store in many countries around the world including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Manga2.5 launched with two titles:

Karasuma Kyōko no Jikenbo
A futuristic, supernatural police procedural manga by author Ohji Hiroi and artist Yūsuke Kozaki. (https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/karasuma-kyoko-no-jikenbo/id595563049)

Both Manga2.5 titles are now available exclusively on the iTunes Store for download-to-own (EST) and download-to-rent (VOD) in both standard and high-definition. A third Manga2.5 title, "Otogi-Soushi" by Yumi Amachi is a fantasy manga based on ancient Japanese gods' adventures and is scheduled for release in March.

"Manga2.5 provides consumers a new way to experience manga while staying true to what has made the art form unique for so many years," said Keiji Korogi, General Manager of Digital Publishing Department for HAPPINET. "Inception Media Group will enable us to bring Manga2.5 to consumers throughout the world."

HAPPINET will continue collaborating with Japanese manga publishers in order to release additional Manga2.5 titles monthly throughout 2013.
