Attack on Titan's Ashly Burch & Trina Nishimura Coming to Anime Blast Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, TN – May 22, 2014 – Anime Blast Chattanooga is excited to announce its latest guests for 2014. Voice actresses Ashly Burch and Trina Nishimura will join attendees at the Chattanooga Convention Center, Nov. 7-9. Their most recent roles include Sasha Braus and Mikasa Ackerman from the acclaimed anime "Attack on Titan.”
The convention will also welcome cosplay guests Shinrajunkie, Vedetta Marie, and ScatterDOTFashion; comedy troupe Laugh Out Loud; voice actor Darrel Guilbeau; and game show host Greg Wicker aka “Greggo's Game Shows.”
Pre-registration for the November weekend is $30 for individuals and $25 per person for groups of six or more. VIP packages are also available for $50. Details on the VIP package, as well as the registration form, can be found at www.animeblastchattanooga.com.

Ashly Burch is a voice actor, writer and raps about representation and issues of gender and identity in the games industry. Well, she doesn't actually rap, she just speaks about it. She thought saying the word "rap" would make her culturally relevant. She realizes she's failing. Ashly is best known as the star, writer and co-creator for the web series "Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?" and as the voice of Tiny Tina in “Borderlands 2.” She is also the voice of Sasha Braus in “Attack on Titan.” You can (or will soon be able to) hear her in these other fine pieces of entertainment: “Adventure Time,” “Bee and PuppyCat,” “Awesomenauts,” “Chainsaw Richard,” “Saints Row 4,” “Aliens: Colonial Marines,” “The Guided Fate Paradox,” “Children of Liberty,” and “Seedlings.” You can see her flail about on screen in “Baked Goods,” “Board With Life,” and “School of Thrones.”
Trina Nishimura
Brandishing her voice just as Mikasa wields her blade, Trina Nishimura has sliced her way through the anime world over the past few years, primarily working with FUNimation Entertainment.
From meager beginnings as the little hungry girl Namiko in “Desert Punk,” to her much anticipated and lauded appearance as Mikasa Ackerman in “Attack on Titan,” Nishimura's agile voice has brought her critical acclaim, and unprecedented fan support.
Fans will recall Trina's many dutiful portrayals in such works as “Claymore” (Flora and Sophia), “KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple” (Shigure Kosaka), “School Rumble” and “School Rumble: 2nd Semester” (Akira Takano, Yurippe), “Baccano!” (Rachel), “Sgt. Frog” (Ghost Girl), and the ever popular “Witchblade” (Shiore Tsuzuki), to name a few.
