Konami Digital Entertainment Returns to Gen Con

KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT GETS SET TO BRING IT FOR FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT AT GEN CON INDIANAPOLIS AUGUST 14-17

Including Interactive Green Screen to Create Personalized Yu-Gi-Oh! Token Cards, Duel the Masters and Exclusive Con Mat!

El Segundo, CA (August 13, 2014) – Stretching over four days, Indianapolis becomes the mecca of the gaming world with the annual presence of the Gen Con gaming convention. Returning as a contributing sponsor, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI), the makers of the best-selling trading card game ever, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), brings a full complement of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG product, competitions and interactive experiences.

New this year, KONAMI will only be exhibiting in Wabash Rooms #1-3. Attendees will want to make the Wabash Room and KONAMI their first stop because they will be selling an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG game mat featuring Yugi with Slifer the Sky Dragon! A limited quantity will be available for just $30 during the show so attendees should stop by early before supplies run out. Also, fans will want to create their own exclusive one-of-a-kind Yu-Gi-Oh! Token Card. They can choose from six different card backgrounds including the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG logo and favorites like Yusei, Jaden, Yugi, Astral and Yuma – each suitable for use during Duels! Additionally, KONAMI will be uploading photos to the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Facebook page following the event so that fans can share their photos with friends.

With Token Card in hand, attendees will want to make their way to a game table and get a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG demonstration from the experts. There will also be a $3 off coupon in the Gen Con show book for Super Starter: Space-Time Showdown (redeemable only at KONAMI's retail counter in the Wabash Rooms during Gen Con). Electronic gamers can also get their Yu-Gi-Oh! fix at one of the upright gaming stations where they can play Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels and the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival. Fans can also try the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Dash, an interactive mini-game based on the TCG featuring Kuribohs! It's a race to the Finish Line as Duelists compete against each other while negotiating obstacles and acquiring cards to slow down their opponent or to give themselves a boost!

Additionally, KONAMI will offer a complete Yu-Gi-Oh! Experience providing the most immersive and engaging environment to attendees. Participants can play a Yu-Gi-Oh! themed beanbag toss or Duel on an oversized game mat utilizing large Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from the Yugi & Kaiba Reloaded Starter Decks. These activities will also be open to everyone during Family Fun Day on Sunday.

Fans looking to fill out their collection can purchase the newest and most popular Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products at Gen Con every day of the show while supplies last, including the recently released Battle Pack 3: Monster League and the August 15th release of Duel Alliance booster packs!

KONAMI will be holding a Duel the Master competition throughout the four days where each aspiring Master will get the chance to spin the wheel – to determine which Deck they'll play – and then battle head-to-head against a true TCG Master. If an attendee knocks off a Master they can spin the wheel again to determine a prize, though everyone will get one booster pack just for participating.

For those players looking for more structured play, KONAMI will be running a series of tournaments including 2015 Regional Qualifiers, Battle City Tournaments, Battle Pack 3 Booster Drafts, Realm of Light Structure Deck Tournaments, Win-A-Mats, ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD! and Dragon Duels (for Duelists born 2002 or later).
