Anime USA Hosts the Debut U.S. Performance of Schwarz Stein

Watch acclaimed visual kei duo, Schwarz Stein, perform live at the Anime USA 2014 convention

Washington D.C. -- September 4, 2014 -- Anime USA is excited to host the performance of visual kei act, Schwarz Stein!

In 2002, vocalist, Kaya, and keyboardist and programmer, Hora, came together to form Schwarz Stein. Produced by Mana of Moi dix Mois and Malice Mizer fame, Schwarz Stein's music draws influence from dark wave, industrial, and trance genres. In 2003, they released their debut single, "Perfect Garden" under Mana's label, Midi:Nette. Soon after, they released their first full-length album, "Vogue Children".

They quickly rose to popularity due to their signature gothic-inspired aesthetic, unique sound, and mesmerizing live performances. Schwarz Stein performed at various events and alongside other visual kei acts, such as Moi dix Mois. In 2004, they disbanded to focus on their solo careers. Even after their split-up, Schwarz Stein's fan base grew as they continued to influence the Japanese visual kei and dark electronic music scenes through their solo acts. In March of 2014, Schwarz Stein officially reunited and released a new single, "Gebet".

Anime USA is honored to host Schwarz Stein's first public appearance since their initial reunion. In addition to their live performance, Schwarz Stein will participate in an autograph session and panel at the convention. All Anime USA attendees are invited to watch the performance, included with the purchase of a 2014 Anime USA membership. Attendees and fans alike are also invited to participate in the Schwarz Stein VIP Experience, complete with priority access to the Schwarz Stein concert on Saturday, October 4, a meet-and-greet before the concert, and a Polaroid photo with the duo.
