This brand new CG animated series is the brainchild of the illustrious Hiroi and Fujishima team who are responsible for the globally successful Sakura Wars. Karen Senki is the second property they have developed together and follows the war between machines and their creator. Machines are now in charge and humans exist in a life of servitude. Well, not all humans. Karen leads the human resistance group, 11. Having lost her little sister in the war against these evolving machines, Karen's strong motivation to save humanity is personal and raging for victory. Set against the neon color futuristic yet chaotic background of this post-apocalyptic world, this eclectic group of human beings find themselves fighting for their lives as they are hunted down in each episode. Is this the end of humanity? Are they fighting a losing battle?

Through Karen, we are taken on the struggle between right and wrong, between indifference and love and start asking ourselves the deepest questions about humanity. What is the difference between a thinking machine and a human being? A soul? What is a soul?
