Studio Trigger to Preview Little Witch Academia 2 at Anime Matsuri 2015 with Director Yoshinari Yoh in Attendance

Houston, TX, September 26th, 2014 – Anime Matsuri, one of the top ten largest anime conventions in the United States, announced today that the Japanese animation studio, Studio Trigger, will be providing an exclusive preview of their newest project, Little Witch Academia 2, to attendees during the convention on April 3-5, 2015.
Little Witch Academia was created under the Japanese government's Agency of Cultural Affairs project Anime Mirai that aimed to promote animation and train future animators. Little Witch Academia 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to this 2013 hit, receiving funding of $625,518 from a highly successful Kickstarter campaign; over four times that of the studio's original goal of $150,000.
Director Yoshinari Yoh, known for his work as a key animator on Neon Genesis Evangelion, and animation director of Gurren Lagann and Little Witch Academia, will be personally presenting this debut exclusive to the attendees of Anime Matsuri 2015.
Studio Trigger is a Japanese animation planning and production studio, founded on August 22nd, 2011 by Masahiko Otsuka, Kazuya Masumoto, and Hiroyuki Imaishi. The studio's works include Kill la Kill, Inferno Cop, Little Witch Academia, and Project X Zone. This will be the studio's first time attending Anime Matsuri.
Anime Matsuri is an annual anime, Japanese culture and related arts convention based in Houston, Texas. We strive to bring the latest and greatest from Japan's catwalks, anime studios, and concert stages to our own backyard here in the United States. Anime Matsuri's inaugural event began in 2007. Since then, the convention has grown to over 19,000 unique attendees. With so many in attendance, we have recently made the George R. Brown Convention Center our permanent home. Here we host our three day “matsuri,” or “festival” in English.
