Todd Michael Schultz Releases Sailor Moon Single

TODD MICHAEL SCHULTZ RELEASES SAILOR MOON SINGLE
Hollywood, CA

Melding his refined knowledge of pop music with that of his passion for the iconic 90's anime and manga Sailor Moon, Todd Michael Schultz, son of Emmy award winning animation producer Bill Schultz, wrote his latest release.

According to Schultz, “'Sailor Moon' is a song about me at my core. It defines my pursuit of everything in my life. Reading and watching the Sailor Moon saga has given me the power to be able to acknowledge my own powers.”

Taking his artistic cues from his own background writing theme songs, the internationally known theme songwriter has released his new anthem “Sailor Moon” on iTunes. Schultz is most recently known for co-writing the main title songs to Rob Dyrdek's Wild Grinders on Nicktoons and Teenage Fairytale Dropouts on The Hub (as well an episode of the show), with his father and Jaco Caraco.

“I wanted to tap into my family's rich history with animation and tie it in with my passion for songwriting,” Schultz says. His father has won a total of four Emmy awards since the mid 90's for his work on The Simpsons and several other animated series. “My father has been making cartoons his business my entire life, and I think that this song and project is about me embracing that aspect of my upbringing.”

“I wanted to be a little ostentatious about how I married the two worlds, and honestly, I just hope this gets people to watch Sailor Moon because it's a great text for learning about hope and facing adversities. We all have a Sailor Moon within us.”

This new anthem blends his pop-based sensibilities with his love for the world of Sailor Moon, effectively proving that passion and love are the great deciders of fate, and that by tapping into what we love, we can find our greatest art.

Schultz plans to follow up the single with an extended release. Current track titles sleighted to be on the extended release are “Moonbeams (Mamo-chan)” and “Turn The Light Back From The Dark."

“Ideally, this will be the first single of a big artistic movement for me. I have a lot more desire to see the Sailor Senshi in my work, and I have music videos planned with them heavily in mind. I can't help it, I seriously freaking love Sailor Moon from the bottom of my heart. It's amplified my inner child. The hopefulness of a child is something you can't deny. It will not be denied.”

The world of Sailor Moon celebrates beautiful dreams and the fulfilling of great potential, in spite of self-doubt and other similar issues.
