Yen Press Announces New Acqusitions at SakuraCon

YEN PRESS ANNOUNCES NEW ACQUSITIONS AT SAKURACON

SEATTLE, WA (4/4/2015) – Yen Press, the manga and graphic novel imprint of Hachette Book Group, announced today the forthcoming publication of a number of new manga titles.

Yen Press announced the addition of these popular manga series to their list:
· Akira Hagio's Sakura no Himegoto, in which the last daughter of a prestigious family finds herself the “pet” of a fellow student in order to repay her grandfather's debts;
· Tsuyoshi Watanabe's Dragon's Rioting, in which a young man is diagnosed with a disease that makes sexual arousal fatal – and then must enroll in an all-girl's school;
· Izumi Tsubaki's Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, in which a young girl expects to be rejected when she confesses her crush, but instead he recruits her to be his assistant drawing girls' manga;
· Wataru Watanabe's Yowamushi Pedal, about a team of bicycle racers; and
· Olympus Knights and Pinakes's Aldnoah.Zero Season One, about a war between humans who have colonized Mars and those who chose to remain on Earth.


Additionally, as an extension of Yen Press's digital partnership with Square Enix, Yen Press announced that they would be publishing worldwide in e-book format a number of Square Enix titles that have never before appeared in the English-language market. The first e-book titles to be published are:
· Satsuki Yoshino's Handa-kun, a spin-off of the popular Bakaramon series;
· Ato Sakurai's Today’s Kerberos;
· Dan Ichikawa's Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World;
· Karino Takatsu's Servant X Service;
· Tsumuji Yoshimura's Unknown;
· Chisaki Kanai's When a Magician's Pupil Smiles;
· Higasa Akai's The Royal Tutor; and
· Hanjirō Tsukioka and Hikaru Tanaka's Scarlet Empire.
