El Segundo, Calif. (May 11, 2015)Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI), a leader in the trading card game category, will once again partner with Kaleidoscope Youth, Family, Millennials for an interactive, educational, and fun Yu-Gi-Oh! KONAMI's After School Program is an initiative to teach children, between the ages of eight and eleven years of age, reading, sportsmanship, and mathematical skills in an engaging way outside of the classroom. KONAMI will introduce the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG to a new generation of kids. In this program, a Yu-Gi-Oh! learning kit is being provided to 2,000 After School programs throughout the country. Each kit will contain a Leader Guide for teachers or administrators, a Beginner's Guide and Game mat for each student, Demo Decks for each student, and a variety of variant Card Packs to be used as rewards.

“The program teaches kids how to play the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, while reinforcing the reading, cognitive and math skills they've been learning throughout the school year,” noted Yumi Hoashi, Vice President of Card Business for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We designed the kits to take the After School children through the basic rules of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, focusing on the battle strategy and how the defense and attack points work. After a few Duels they'll be confident enough to master the game and Duel others.”
