El Segundo, Calif. (June 25, 2015) – The best Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Central American Duelists showcased their Dueling and Deck-building skills in Mexico City this past weekend at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Central American World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) and the Dragon Duel Central American WCQ (for those born in 2002 or later).

The Expo Reforma Center was jumping with excitement as Duelists intent on representing Central America in Kyoto, Japan were waging epic back-and-forth card battles. After rounds and rounds of Dueling, it was a weary yet excited Galileo De Obaldia, from Panama City, Panama, that held the trophy and smiled for the photo knowing he was traveling overseas to battle for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship representing Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE-US).


De Obaldia leaves Expo Reforma with a massive stack of prizes that includes: a Championship Trophy; an invitation and paid travel and accommodations to the World Championship; complete sets of Secrets of Eternity and Crossed Souls booster sets; a 64 GB iPad; two copies of the Super Rare YCS Prize Card; 24 booster packs from recent sets; a WCQ Top Cut and WCQ 2015 Game Mat; WCQ 2015 card sleeves and a personalized shirt upon arrival in Kyoto to wear proudly while competing at the World Championship.

The Dragon Duel Central American World Championship Qualifier, for those born in 2002 or later, was an intense battle as Juan Carlos Coronel, from Guadalajara, Mexico, worked his/her way through an enthusiastic field of competitors. Coronel masterfully played his hand and came out the winner at the end. Coronel won a bevy of prizes that included: a Championship Trophy; an invitation and paid travel and accommodations to the World Championship; complete sets of Secrets of Eternity and Crossed Souls; 64 GB iPad; two copies of the Super Rare YCS Prize Card; a WCQ Dragon Duel Top Cut and WCQ Dragon Duel 2015 Game Mat; WCQ 2015 card sleeves and a personalized shirt upon arrival in Kyoto.

Duelists can watch all-new Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal episodes every Tuesday as well as all of classic Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's on www.yugioh.com in the United States. In addition, Yu-Gi-Oh!
