"In a way we're doing this to test the waters and see what the Western Market does and does not like - we're not afraid to fail," stated Culture Select CEO John Baumlin. In the years before starting the company, he has worked on a variety of games such as Fault -Milestone One- (Acquisitional Research), An Octave Higher (Release Management), and Ecchi Mery and the Perils of the Cosmic Shrine (Crowdfunding and Localization) with publishing companies such as Active Gaming Media (Playism) and MangaGamer.

"I'm also eager to see the whole process through from start to finish myself, and include more than just the English sphere. The major goal of Culture Select is to reach out not just to an English audience, but a truly global audience – starting with the Spanish market. Wish is an “Eastern romance visual novel” and was Migiha's first title. The protagonist, Tenka Kurono, is an adopted son of the Kurono family, who has been managing the Kuromiya Shrine for several generations. His older sister Mutsuki and upperclassman Rinna are runemasters - prana users who have been defending the land of commoners since ancient times. Alas, Tenka himself has no special powers, but his daily life is about to be shattered when he starts hearing his name being called in a dream...

Presented with an Eastern approach to storytelling, the battle and supernatural aspect of Wish blend well with the human element to create a compelling work that has earned a positive reception at Comic Market in Japan, the world's largest event for self-published work, and on its Google Play page:
