SaikouCon 2015 Releases Panel and Screening Schedules
Convention also closes Deluxe, VIP, and All Access Badge Registration Cosplay Contest Sign Up for 2015
7/20/15 Bethlehem, PA – SaikouCon, which means "best convention”, is the Lehigh Valley's first and only large scale, annual anime convention. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is excited to be the only annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture and pop culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania. The convention grew out of the now defunct, but soon to be relaunched, webzine Anime Ate My Brain Magazine; the sibling webzine to Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine. Both journalistic endeavors fall under the newly renamed Nerdy Rock 'n Roller Publishing, which will be growing in diversity in 2015.
The convention promises to remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon 2013 and 2014 a safe haven for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2015. SaikouCon 2015 will feature many diverse and entertaining panels, workshops, activities, events, screenings, gaming tournaments, and much more!
SaikouCon has released its schedule of panels, both submitted and Guest of Honor hosted, for SaikouCon 2015. SaikouCon has close to 60 panels in total from opening on Friday, August 28 until close on Sunday, August 30. Guest of Honor panels include presentations by RuffleButt Cosplay (Jessie Pridemore), Voice Actress Leah Clark, Voice Actress Danielle McRae, and Voice Actress Tia Ballard. Members of SaikouCons 2015 headlining band, The Adarna, will also be presenting some panels over the course of the weekend as well.
SaikouCon's screening schedule for this year is also posted with the panel schedule. Coming in the following weeks leading to SaikouCon 2015 will be the schedule for both the tabletop gaming room, hosted and presented by Featured Guests, The Gamer's Edge Comics & Gaming, and the 2015 video game room hosted by SaikouCon staff. The convention has also announced the closing of pre-registration for their Deluxe, VIP, and All Access badges for the year. Higher level badges are always closed around a month out from the convention to ensure all the souvenir materials that go with the different badge types are ordered, printed, delivered, and sorted in time for badge holders to pick them up with their badges at SaikouCon Pre-Reg Pick Up on the morning of SaikouCon Friday. Basic (General Admission) pre-registration is still open and will remain so until August 14, 2015 at midnight. All at door badges purchased will automatically be Basic (General Admission). SaikouCon has also closed sign ups for their 2015 Cosplay Contest. The contest has undergone some rule changes and will not allow on site sign up and has instituted a Preliminary Round where Finalists will be chosen to walk before SaikouCons Guest Judges, including RuffleButt Cosplay (Jessie Pridemore), at SaikouCon 2015. Three to five Finalists will be chosen from each category offered to walk before the judges at the contest finals on SaikouCon Saturday, August 29 at 6 PM in the Hanover Grande Ballroom of the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Conference Center. Contest Finals will also feature SaikouCon 2015 Special Guest Koralene Cosplay as the MC.

Amenities from both hotels are open to attendees that book sleeping rooms at either hotel including the Best Western's outdoor pool and the Hampton Inn's indoor pool as well as gym facilities at both hotels.
