Convention Announces 2016 Date and Experimental Second Day
HOBOKEN, NJ - Sep 24, 2015 - The Castle Point Anime Convention has scheduled its 2016 convention to occur on April 23 and 24 of next year. The date has been moved later into the Spring to allow for warmer weather. In addition, the organizers are experimenting with Saturday content for the first time since the convention's founding.
On the Saturday "preview day", limited programming will be offered in the afternoon starting at 2pm. This includes: video and card and board gaming, video programming, the AnimeNEXT Manga Library, and other to-be-determined special events. The preview day is intended to test the venue's and the staff's ability to successfully organize a second day.
The price for registration has not changed, and the $15 badge will include access to Saturday content.
ABOUT CASTLE POINT ANIME CONVENTION: Hosted in Hoboken, NJ, the Castle Point Anime Convention is an annual anime and manga convention operated by the Anime Club at the Stevens Institute of Technology. The convention was founded in 2008, and has grown to attract approximately 4,000 attendees.
