Headphone-wearing Japanese icon is popular worldwide as star of games, books, figures, and anime

November 23, 2015 - Super Sonico's band First Astronomical Velocity will release their albums on all international digital platforms in December. The world-famous Nitroplus mascot debuted in 2006 at the Japanese game company's annual music concert Nitro Super Sonic, and more activities are planned leading up the celebration of her 10th anniversary next year.

First Astronomical Velocity (also known as FAV, or Daiichi Uchuu Sokudo) is a three-piece girls rock band who debuted in 2010 with “Superorbital”. The band has released 2 full albums and numerous singles and will perform the opening theme “Blaster” for the upcoming PS3/PS4 game Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel.

Many songs will be familiar to Super Sonico fans from games like SoniComi (Communication with Sonico) and the recent anime series SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation, including “Love The World,” “Sky Love Hurricane,” and “SUPERORBITAL”. FAV's second full album, Love and Peace Plus (Love and II +), broke into the Top 50 on the Oricon charts in 2012.
