Announcing Animatic Con 2016: The Ohio Region's New Anime and Cosplay Convention

April 23 2016:

CINCINNATI, OH. – Animatic Con, the region's newest anime, gaming, and video convention, will be held at The Holiday Inn Eastgate, 4501 Eastgate Blvd. Cincinnati, Ohio, April 29 – May 1, 2016.
Cosplay will be the theme for Animatic Con, to raise money for children with autism in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. Animatic Con has partnered with The Make It Fit Foundation (Columbus, Ohio) and Autism Rocks (Cincinnati, Ohio).

During the convention weekend, fans will focus on animation in a variety of forms, such as Live Q&A sessions with Sentai Film voice actors Katelyn Barr and Caitlynn French. There will be panels, workshops, an artist alley of original artwork, a concert, 2 nights of dances featuring 4 DJ's, community groups, a costume showcase and contest, anime screenings and more during Animatic Con.

Special performance by local Cincinnati, Ohio musician Juice Lee, who is a nerdcore rapper, on Saturday, April 30th.

Animatic Con, founded in 2015, found its name from researching how shows come together. The term Animatic refers to a concept idea that is taken and presented to a group of members who determine should this be turned into a show or more than a concept. Much like that idea, Animatic Con was founded on a concept of finding new ways to cater to the needs of those with autism or other disabilities.

Animatic Con, sets out to bring an event to Cincinnati, Ohio and the Tri-State areas that not only welcomes those with disabilities but continues to find ways to improve their experience at anime conventions.
