History's First Pop Culture Tour of Tokyo from Canada Arrives

PacSet launches tour to Tokyo, Nikko, and Tokyo Game Show that departs from Toronto or Vancouver; signups will begin at Anime North

(May 19, 2016): PacSet Tours Inc., North America's premier provider of anime-centric tours to Japan, is proud to announce the arrival of their North To Tokyo Tour. Scheduled to depart in September 2017, the tour will be the first pop culture tour of Japan in history tailored exclusively to guests from Canada.

Created based on feedback and requests from PacSet alumni, the tour will take visitors to Japan's largest video game trade show, Tokyo Game Show. Guests will also visit Akihabara, Nakano Broadway, the Ghibli Museum, Shibuya, and other destinations in the Tokyo area beloved to fans of anime and games alike. The tour will also include a three night stay in the Kinugawa Onsen (hot spring) area, where guests will visit the gorgeous historical sites of Nikko, marvel at the spectacular Kegon Waterfall, and relax in the waters of one of Japan's most legendary springs. Two accommodation options, hotels and hostels, will be provided as well to help make the tour more affordable for the budget traveler. Best of all, the base price of the tour includes a round trip flight to Tokyo from either Vancouver or Toronto - whichever is convenient for each guest.

PacSet CEO Evan Liu admits that "Canada has been a consistent source of business for PacSet ever since we opened, so a trip like this has been on our wishlist for a long, long time." According to Liu, PacSet will also be attending next week's Anime North convention in Toronto at Booth DT09 in the Industry Area to talk to people about the tour.

The North To Tokyo Tour starts at $3,695 Canadian Dollars for the hostel accommodation option, or $4,495 Canadian Dollars for hotels. Since PacSet is based in the United States, guests will be charged at the market rate for Canadian Dollars in US Dollars at the time of billing. Guests can also pay for the tour in monthly installments using PacSet's monthly payment plan.
