Crunchyroll Announces First Quarterly Content "Rollout"

SAN FRANCISCO – June 20, 2016​– International anime platform Crunchyroll, Inc. announced today the details of its first quarterly content “rollout,” known as the “Crunchyroll Summer Rollout,” to give English­speaking audiences an exclusive first look into the upcoming summer (Q3) anime season. The Rollout will come in the form of a 15­minute customer­facing video with multiple high­level content acquisition announcements to be simultaneously broadcast on Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 at 5:00PM Pacific Standard Time across multiple platforms.

The Crunchyroll Summer Rollout will be simultaneously streamed on Twitch.tv on the homepage and on Twitch.tv/Crunchyroll, on Crunchyroll's website at Crunchyroll.com/live, and on Facebook at Facebook.com/Crunchyroll. Viewers are encouraged to engage with fellow viewers and Crunchyroll staff on the built­in chat on these sites, or by using the hashtag #Rollout. The Rollout will be approximately 15 minutes of simulcast license announcements and other programming, and will be repeated on Twitch and Crunchyroll immediately following the first broadcast. The full video will be available on demand on Crunchyroll's website at 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, June 21st.

The Crunchyroll Summer Rollout will be the first opportunity to see the PVs (promotion videos) for many titles subtitled into English, and each will be introduced by one of the personalities from Crunchyroll's San Francisco office, a team of content experts who will provide the synopsis and context for the acquisition. Crunchyroll calls upon all anime fans to join in on the event to find their most anticipated simulcasts for the upcoming season!
