TOKYOPOP Announces 5 New Releases for the Holiday Season

New York, NY — At New York Comic-Con today, TOKYOPOP®, a division of POP Media Holdings founded by filmmaker and entrepreneur Stu Levy, announced that they will be releasing several new manga for the upcoming holiday season both in print form and as digital eBooks.

TOKYOPOP is back with its all-ages Disney Manga line, releasing its first two titles in the series, Disney Alice in Wonderland: Special Collector's Manga and Disney • Pixar Finding Nemo: Special Collector's Manga in May and June of 2016 respectively, to re-launch its North American publishing business with this world-renowned brand. Now, TOKYOPOP prepares for the holiday season with an exciting line-up of engaging manga titles.

The perfect collector title for Halloween, this October TOKYOPOP is releasing its limited-edition rendition of Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Special Collector's Manga. Priced at $15.99 with a one-time only hardcover printing, this legendary manga is a sure-fire hit.

Following up in November, TOKYOPOP releases the third volume in its 5-volume romance and adventure shojo manga series Disney Kilala Princess. Kilala follows Rei back to Paradiso to discover the secret behind the coup that dethroned him and the power of the tiara he guards so closely, and is taught a valuable lesson about kindness and grace from Cinderella herself.

Just in time for Christmas is the adorable stocking stuffer, Disney Stitch! (volume 2). The hijinks continue as the cute-and-fluffy alien gets up to all kinds of shenanigans with his Okinawan buddy, Yuna-chan.

Under its new TOKYOPOP Classics banner and ready for Halloween is the return of dark and twisted comedic trilogy I Luv Halloween, available in stores for the first time in five years and as an ebook trilogy. Halloween is a big deal to Finch and his buddies and when they don't get the expected candy treats, they get ready to play some nasty tricks on the local adults.

Also coming out in November is the long-awaited collection of M. Alice LeGrow's gothic OEL enigmatic thriller Bizenghast, a whopping 528 page 3-in-1 softcover $19.99 edition. After accidentally solving a supernatural riddle, ghost-seeing Dinah finds herself on a quest to free the trapped spirits of Bizenghast, MA.

Speaking about the company's rapidly-increasing North American manga line-up, founder Stu Levy stated, “TOKYOPOP's business has rapidly grown in Europe, and after our challenging hiatus in North America, we're excited to offer family-friendly titles with our Disney Manga line, and re-introduce some of our most popular previously-published titles via TOKYOPOP Classics. We very much appreciate the support of our talented creators, licensing partners, dedicated retailers and, most importantly, passionate fans”.
