Aniplex of America Announces Product Release Details for -Kizumonogatari- Part 2: Nekketsu

SANTA MONICA, CA (March 31, 2017) – Aniplex of America Inc. announced today at their industry panel at Anime Boston (Boston, MA) their plans to release -KIZUMONOGATARI- PART 2: NEKKETSU on Blu-ray starting this spring. The second part of the prequel trilogy to Bakemonogatari will be released on May 9 of this year. Pre-orders will begin today at 1:30 PM PDT on Aniplex of America's official KIZUMONOGATARI homepage (www.Kizumonogatari-USA.com).

-KIZUMONOGATARI- PART 2: NEKKETSU features the origin story of the highly popular Monogatari Series originally created by author NISIOISIN and is a direct prequel to the BAKEMONOGATARI television series. The story continues to follow Koyomi Araragi, who was turned into a vampire by the legendary vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. He needs to revive the weakened vampire back to her complete form to return to being human again. The only way for him to achieve his goal is to fight the three vampire hunters – Dramaturgy, Episode and Guillotinecutter.

This film brought together an all-star creative team including Director Tatsuya Oishi (Series Director of BAKEMONOGATARI), Character Designer Akio Watanabe (entire Monogatari Series), and Chief Director Akiyuki Shimbou (Madoka Magica, Monogatari Series, NISEKOI, NISEKOI 2). Studio SHAFT will be responsible for the anime production.
