Anime's Favorite Magic High School Coming to a Theater Near You!

PASADENA, CA (June 14, 2017) – Azoland Pictures and Aniplex of America announced the forthcoming theatrical release of The Irregular at Magic High School the Movie -The Girl who Summons the Stars-. Following the U.S. premiere at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California this summer, the film will be released in select U.S. theaters on July 28. The film will be distributed by Azoland Pictures. One of the most prolific franchises within the anime community, The Irregular at Magic High School the Movie -The Girl who Summons the Stars- comes three years after the television series premiered, with an all new story by author Tsutomu Sato. Known simply as Mahouka by its most dedicated and enthusiastic fan base, The Irregular at Magic High School was adapted from a light novel series which continues to be one of the top selling light novels in Japan with over 7.7 million copies sold.

Many months have passed and the spring season is almost upon them. The “irregular” elder brother Tatsuya and his smart younger sister Miyuki realize that their first year at Magic High School is about to come to a close. The siblings and their friends decide to spend spring break at a private villa on Ogasawara Island. Tatsuya and the others make the most of their brief vacation until a young girl named Kokoa appears before them. The mysterious young girl who escaped from a naval base tells Tatsuya her one wish...
