(incorporated in Delaware, U.S.; representative: Tomohide Kamei; CEO: Naomitsu Kodaka; herein referred to as TOM) announce the launch of Tweezers of Longinus, which are tweezers with designed after the Spear of Longinus from the popular anime series Evangelion. Pre-orders for the Tweezers of Longinus will begin at 10:00 AM July 7, 2017 (JST).
The Tweezers of Longinus is a product of the collaborative development project of wāqwāq, which has achievements in character based products, and TOM, which operates an EC website for fans of Japanese pop culture.
Maintaining high-precision and high-quality while recreating the Lance of Longinus
Starting out as a TV show in 1995 and gaining popularity through the Rebuild film series, Evangelion has captured the hearts of countless fans.
The iconic Spear of Longinus from the series will now be available in tweezer form. The spear was the perfect shape for tweezers, enabling the creation of high precision, high-quality tweezers. We are confident that the Tweezers of Longinus constructed by the skilled craftspeople of Japan will offer the uppermost quality that truly lives up to the Longinus name.
High-quality tweezers made by Japanese craftspeople
The Tweezers of Longinus are crafted using wire electrical discharge machining, a technique which allows precise machining in 0.001 mm intervals. The precise tweezers can hold on tightly to normal hairs, short hairs, fine and downy hairs and thorns.
Functional design for simple use
Normal tweezers are only approximately 8 cm long, and can only be handled with your fingertips. In comparison, the Tweezers of Longinus are longer. They are approximately 11 cm long and will fit perfectly in your hands. They have also been designed to prevent deformation and damage even when the tips are bent outwards.
Limited edition Titanium versions also available in red and blue
The limited edition Tweezers of Longinus will be constructed with titanium, a rare metal that is durable, light, resistant to rust, and can be treated to give the metal a more vibrant color.
The Titanium Tweezers come in two colors: red and blue, and only 300 pieces of each color will be available.
Angel Core motif stands included!
The Tweezers of Longinus come with a Core-shaped stand, and using the stand will make users feel as if they are defeating Angels.
The tweezers will also come with a case that allows users to carry them safely and withdraw them easily whenever they need to be used.
