Virtual Singer Brought to Life at Otakuthon
MONTREAL – July 27th, 2017. Otakuthon manga festival welcomes virtual artist IA for her very first live performance in Canada. The concert will take place on Friday, August 4th, 2017 at 8:00 PM at Palais des congrès de Montréal.
IA is a Vocaloid, a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application. She will be appearing on stage as a hologram.
Party a GO-GO is IA's solo concert, in which she is performing around the world. A unique show where band, dancers, featured guests and technology came together for the first time on the stage of Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo, in 2015. The first ever live concert now became a world tour and is hosted in 7 countries.
Otakuthon presents many other shows hosted this time by guests in the flesh. The japanese rock band MAN WITH A MISSION, a concert performing the soundtrack from the popular video game Final Fantasy as well as a geek-themed burlesque show from Burlesgeek are also eagerly expected.
