GARNiDELiA to be Musical Guests at A-Kon 2018
GARNiDELiA is bringing J-Pop back to Texas this June.
Los Angeles, CA: GARNiDELiA is set to attend A-Kon 2018 as musical guests! The electronic, anisong duo will participate in panels, autograph sessions, and hold a concert for convention attendees. GARNiDELiA has created theme songs for anime such as Kill la Kill, Fate/Apocrypha, and more recently BEATLESS. Having dropped Error (the theme for BEATLESS) this past January and their album “G.R.N.D.” last month, GARNiDELiA will be bringing their complex, upbeat J-Pop sound exclusively to Akon. About GARNiDELiA:
GARNiDELiA is a Japanese pop-rock/dance duo, consisting of vocalist MARiA and a
composer toku. The name GARNiDELiA is an anagram of Le Palais Garnier de
Maria, meaning “Maria's Opera House, her place to sing” and Cordelia, which is the
name of the asteroid discovered in toku's birth year.
Receiving a fashion following by supporters of her generation, MARiA also work as a fashion model, as well as taking charge of the group's album artwork and song lyrics. Sound producer toku has also been contributing and produce songs for various artists. Their music has a great variety – from upbeat anime theme, melodic ballad, and to cutting-edge electronic dance tune. Also thanks to vocalist MARiA's powerful voice and talent in dancing, they are gaining rapidly growing fan base in and outside of the country.
GARNiDELiA made a major label debut in March 2014 with a smash hit single “ambiguous”. Since then, their songs have consistently been achieving #1 on the national digital music charts including iTunes Music Store's. The duo has released 9 singles, 1 digital-single, and 3 albums to date. Besides the usual music video, GARNiDELiA also uploads a series of “Dance Video” which has been receiving massive attention – especially the one named “Gokuraku Jodo” [http://u0u1.net/IiTt ] has been viewed more than 30 million times (*several platforms combined) from all over the world.
In January 2018, GARNiDELiA released their latest single “Error”, which is featured as the theme song of the TV anime series “BEATLESS”, and their latest album entitled “G.R.N.D.” was released on March 28th this year. This month, they will start a nationwide & Hong Kong tour “GARNiDELiA stellacage Tour 2018”. Venturing beyond Japan, the duo has been actively holding live concerts overseas – currently they have done shows in more than 10 countries and 15 cities - including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, USA (Seattle / Atlanta / Hawaii) and Germany.
