Seven Seas Licenses Two Novels for The Ancient Magus' Bride Series

The Magic Expands to Prose in Seven Seas' Release of THE ANCIENT MAGUS' BRIDE: THE GOLDEN YARN and THE SILVER YARN Novels

(LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2018) – Seven Seas Entertainment is thrilled to announce the license acquisition–both print and digital–of two novels from the bestselling manga series The Ancient Magus' Bride by Kore Yamazaki.

These two novels, The Ancient Magus' Bride: The Golden Yarn and The Ancient Magus' Bride: The Silver Yarn, are collections of prose short stories that expand the beloved world and characters from The Ancient Magus' Bride. In addition to stories by Kore Yamazaki herself, the books include works by prominent authors such as Yuuichirou Higashide, writer on Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order, and Yoshinobu Akita, author of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen. Each self-contained volume is a unique and magical addition to any bookshelf.

The Ancient Magus' Bride has such a rich mythology to explore that lends itself perfectly to prose format,” says Seven Seas Publisher Jason DeAngelis. “We're thrilled to offer fans of the series something totally new with these novels.”

Seven Seas will publish the novels The Ancient Magus' Bride: The Golden Yarn and The Ancient Magus' Bride: The Silver Yarn for the first time in North America in paperback and on digital platforms in single volume editions. The Golden Yarn will be released on December 11, 2018 for $13.99 USA / $16.99 CAN, and The Silver Yarn will be released on March 19, 2019 for $13.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.
