LEGO Launches Voltron Robot

Combine Five Mighty Lions, Activate The Megathrusters And Build The New LEGO® Ideas Voltron

29 June 2018, Become a Paladin of Voltron and defend the universe with the newest LEGO® Ideas product. This huge set is the lead character of the classic 80s anime, Voltron – and it's the biggest buildable LEGO mech ever.

Build the five roaring lions and pose them separately or combine them to create the towering robot that defends the universe in the classic anime series Voltron. Activate airlocks, connect the dynotherms, Infracells up and activate the megathrusters in preparation for the latest LEGO Ideas set, available exclusively from LEGO Stores and shop.lego.com/Voltron from 23rd July, 2018.

This set allows fans to throw back to the 80s to the age of the super robots by building the LEGO Ideas Voltron. Voltron was voted for by fans to become the latest fan submitted idea to make it into production, with 2,321 pieces this is the biggest LEGO Ideas set so far.

The LEGO Ideas Voltron set is the latest release from LEGO Ideas as voted for by fans. Voltron measures a towering 15” (40cm) high, 5” (14cm) long and 8” (21cm) wide. With posable parts to let you play out exciting scenarios from the original 1980's series and become Keith and lead Voltron into battle against King Zarkon and his evil forces.

LEGO Ideas Voltron features five buildable and posable lions with specially designed, extra-strong joints to combine them all and create the Voltron super robot. Four lions create together the arms and legs before adding the mighty black lion, completing the torso and head of Voltron.

This super robot wouldn't be complete without a suitably impressive sword and shield that can be attached to the set.

Building this set is sure to be a nostalgic experience while also providing a rewarding build experience for LEGO fans. Included within the set is information on the set's fan creator as well as the super force of LEGO Ideas designers who have brought this idea to life.

LEGO Ideas offers fans the opportunity to put forward their ideas for LEGO creation with the chance to have their concept brought to life with the help of LEGO master designers and a share of the profits.

Fans can submit their ideas at ideas.LEGO.com.

Available directly from LEGO Stores and online, from 23rd July, 2018
