Seven Seas Celebrates Pride Month with Powerful LGBT+ Manga Shimanami Tasogare

(LOS ANGELES, June 29, 2018) – Seven Seas Entertainment is thrilled to announce the license acquisition of Yuhki Kamatani's Shimanami Tasogare. Best known for their series Nabari no Ou, Kamatani's skill as a creator is mesmerizing in this beautiful coming-of-age story about identity and relationships in our ever-expanding world.

Not only is high schooler Tasuku Kaname the new kid in town, he's also terrified that he's been outed as gay. Just as he's contemplating doing the unthinkable, Tasuku meets a mysterious woman who leads him to a group of people dealing with problems not so different from his own. In this realistic, heartfelt depiction of LGBT+ characters from different backgrounds finding their place in the world, a search for inner peace proves to be the most universal experience of all.

Shimanami Tasogare really is something special,” says Seven Seas Marketing Manager Lianne Sentar. “It manages to represent so many different ways that people shape their identities and find their unique spaces, which is something anyone can relate to. It's no wonder this compelling drama has resonated with so many people.”

Seven Seas will publish the manga Shimanami Tasogare for the first time in North America in single volume editions. Volume 1 will be released on May 7, 2019 for $12.99 USA / $15.99 CAN.
