December 11, 2018 – BOOK☆WALKER announced their global store sales ranking for the year 2018 with Overlord light novels claiming first place. This should come as no surprise since both the author and director made a special appearance at Anime Expo 2018 to kick-off the Anime's third season. Following second and third were How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord and Goblin Slayer light novels, both which had hit Anime series in 2018.
