SaikouCon 2019 Welcomes Voice Actors Brittney Karbowski and Gregory Houser as Guests of Honor

Convention also welcomes The Asterplace and DJ OZONO as Musical Guests and release 2019 Programming Schedule

6/25/19 Allentown/White Haven, PA – SaikouCon is a three day, anime and cosplay convention located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. SaikouCon, which means "best convention", is the annual anime convention of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountain area with several side events in the Lehigh Valley, boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans. SaikouCon builds programming made to make memories every year, always striving for panel diversity and a balance between Japanese Pop Culture, Classical Japanese Culture, Cosplay, fun and games, original music, original music, and more original music!
.
The convention will always remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. SaikouCon promises to remain an all inclusive event where all are welcome to enjoy the fun, friendship, and saftey the con has offered in the past. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon Years 1-6 safe havens for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2019.

Guest of Honor Announcement! Welcome back to SaikouCon, Voice Actor Gregory Houser! Greg has been a guest at SaikouCon many times since the con's first year. Greg was last with the convention for a single day appearance in 2017, this year he will be at SaikouCon all three days! Greg will be presenting panels, signing autographs, and hanging out throughout the weekend. SikouCon's staff is stoked to have Greg in the house again with the rest of the SaikouCon Family!
The convention is also happy to announce their final Guest of Honor for 2019, if you've watched an English dubbed anime in the past decade chances are you've heard her voice... please welcome for her first time at SaikouCon, Brittney Karbowski! Brittney has done dub voice work with ADV, Funimation, and Sentai Filmworks; appearing in dubs of High School of the Dead, Fairy Tail, Angel Beats!, Dragon Ball Super, Soul Eater, Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Parasyte: The Maxim, Akame Ga Kill!, High School DxD, Heaven's Lost Property, Murder Princess, and Darker Than Black just to name a few of the more well known series Brittney has been cast in. There are too many more credits to name in this announcement, who else is hyped to welcome Brittney Karbowski to the SaikouCon Family?

SaikouCon is also very happy to welcome back The Asterplace! The New York City based J-Rock/Tokyo Pop Punk band was first with the convention at SaikouCon 2014, they've got a ton of new songs ready to blow your minds at our Cosplay Concert on SaikouCon Saturday! And, they are also going to perform a special program around their brand new documentary movie “Hands of the World”. The documentary is soon to be released, streaming PPV only. However, SaikouCon 2019 attendees can see it for free on SaikouCon Sunday! The band will be screening it Sunday before they hit the road to their next show and following the documentary, members of The Asterplace will hold a Q&A session and will perform a small acoustic concert. Also you can get free music from their brand new EP “HANDS OF THE WORLD"! More details on their EP to be announced. Please send out a welcome back to the SaikouCon family to The Asterplace!
SaikouCon is also welcoming back as a Musical Guest for 2019, DJ OZNO! OZNO will be spinning at the Saikou Rave on SaikouCon Friday, as well as laying down smooth grooves from his table in our Merchant Hall the rest of the con weekend. He may even be spinning at a surprise event within SaikouCon that's still in the planning stages... keep an eye out over the next week! DJ OZNO, a Lehigh Valley staple, has been with SaikouCon since 2017 spinning at dance parties and creating good vibes in our Merchant Hall. More Musical Guests coming over the next few weeks!

On June 15, at 6 PM, only 6 hours later than the 12 PM delay we announced on the con Facebook the previous night... not bad considering who the con chair is... and in all seriousness, the additional delay was because the Events page's coding somehow corrupted last night and had to be completely rebuilt since this morning before the programming schedule could be shared on top of what was posted on our Facebook. Anyway, go check out what we've got in store for you this year! Also, keep you eyes peeled for some surprises in the schedule coming up in the next couple of weeks and the Saikou Retro Arcade Tournament schedule; the convention will have two tournaments coming at you this year, Smash Brothers on Saturday and Mario Kart on Sunday in the Gaming Hall on top of all the awesome MMO and online freeplay in the Video Game Lounge run by Featured Guests Husky Entertainment LLC! The full SaikouCon 2019 Programming Schedule can be viewed at www.saikoucon.com/events.html.
