One Piece Orchestral Concert in NYC
Tribute for 20th Anime Anniversary
NEW YORK, NY – September 4, 2019 – iconiQ The Soundtrack Orchestra opens its sixth performing season with an orchestral tribute concert to Toei Animation's anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's long-running manga One Piece on Friday, October 4, 7:30pm at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music.
Produced in collaboration with One Piece - One Million Fans and The Senpai Project, the intimate evening concert will feature select works by composers Kōhei Tanaka and Shiro Hamaguchi from the pirate-themed action series' 20-year musical canon as interpreted by a chamber orchestra. This performance is made possible in part with public funds from Creative Engagement supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC). LMCC serves, connects and makes space for artists and community.
"One Piece: A 20th Anniversary Orchestral Tribute" will be held at Mary Flagler Cary Hall inside the DiMenna Center for Classical Music located at 450 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018 on Friday, October 4. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $20 for general seating only.
