Aniplex of America Announces Zoku Owarimonogatari Coming to Blu-ray

"Doesn't it make sense that another Araragi, the flip side of you, exists in this world?"

SANTA MONICA, CA (November 1, 2019) – Aniplex of America is thrilled to announce the release of Zoku Owarimonogatari as a Blu-ray set scheduled for release on January 28, 2020. The set features two Blu-ray discs containing six episodes, along with a collection of promotional videos and commercials, as well as the textless opening theme “07734” and ending theme featuring TrySail's song “azure.” Housed in a package illustrated by character designer Akio Watanabe, the Blu-ray set also comes with an exclusive pin-up postcard set and deluxe booklet featuring a wide array of production materials and character reference art.

Based on one of the volumes of NisiOisin's bestselling Monogatari light novels, Zoku Owarimonogatari captures Koyomi Araragi, the morning after his high school graduation as he wanders into a world inside a mirror, where everything is reversed. Returning as Koyomi Araragi is veteran voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya (Durarara!!, Blue Exorcist), who is joined by Chiwa Saito (BAKEMONOGATARI, The irregular at magic high school), Emiri Katō (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Granblue Fantasy the Animation), Miyuki Sawashiro (Sword Art Online, Fate/Apocrypha), and Kana Hanazawa (Cells at Work!, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Following a November 2018 theatrical release in Japan, Zoku Owarimonogatari received a six-episode TV broadcast in Japan beginning May of 2019. The series hails animation production by famed studio Shaft, who is responsible for many fan favorite shows including Puella Magi Madoka Magica, March comes in like a lion, and NISEKOI. The creative team behind the Monogatari series also returns with chief director akiyuki Shimbou (chief director for Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies) teaming up with Toufuyashi (NISEKOI, March comes in like a lion) to pen the screenplay, while Akio Watanabe reprised his dual role as chief animation director and character designer from Monogatari Series Second Season.

About Zoku Owarimonogatari:
This is what Araragi experienced during his transition from high school to college. The story of the continuation of the end (Owari).

The morning after high school graduation, Koyomi is standing in front of the mirror above the sink to wash his face when he suddenly feels like his reflection is staring back at him. He instinctively reaches for the mirror, and upon touching it, his fingers sink in... When he comes to, Koyomi finds himself in a world where everything appears to be reversed.
