Otaquest Announces Partnership with Anime Central and Additional Programming for Otaquest Connect
Tokyo, Japan (July 22, 2020) – OTAQUEST is excited to announce their partnership with the Midwest Animation Promotion Society (M.A.P.S.) for their upcoming online convention event, OTAQUEST CONNECT. In addition, OTAQUEST is proud to reveal OTAQUEST // PLUGGED IN, an online musical event taking place during OTAQUEST CONNECT on Saturday, August 15th, alongside an additional concert program on Sunday, August 16th.
OTAQUEST CONNECT Powered by Anime Central will feature luminaries from the anime, music, and video game industries. OTAQUEST CONNECT will bring the convention experience to fans online, with new exclusive interviews and panels featuring creative guests like Cowboy Bebop and Escaflowne composer, Yoko Kanno; director of the acclaimed Yakuza video game series, Toshihiro Nagoshi; director of Appleseed and Evangelion: Another Impact, Shinji Aramaki; and the mangaka of BEASTARS, Paru Itagaki, just to name a few.
An additional event OTAQUEST is pleased to announce for OTAQUEST CONNECT, is OTAQUEST // PLUGGED IN, a streaming music event featuring some of the hottest talent from Japan's club music scene. Capping off Saturday night, viewers can catch ☆Taku Takahashi, Alan Shirahama, LADY'S ONLY, YUC’e, KOTONOHOUSE, with additional DJs to be announced. The music then continues onto Sunday evening with an additional concert segment featuring performances from Japanese all-girl rock band GIRLFRIEND, voice actor & singer Sasaki Rico, and dance/vocal J-Pop group Chuning Candy!
