Aniplex of America Announces Puella Magi Madoka Magica: the Movie Trilogy Blu-ray

The renowned Magical Girl series celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special movie trilogy Blu-ray release!

SANTA MONICA, CA (April 26, 2021) – Aniplex of America is thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular series Puella Magi Madoka Magica with the Blu-ray release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica: the Movie Trilogy on July 20, 2021! This special release includes the two theatrical adaptations of the hit TV series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Part 2: Eternal, as well as the original film Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Rebellion-. The package features new illustrations by aokiume and Junichiro Taniguchi and bonus content includes textless openings and endings, theatrical trailers, as well as TV CM Collections.

Featuring the vocal talents of Aoi Yuki (Erased, PERSONA 5 the Animation) and Christine Marie Cabanos (Blue Exorcist, Sword Art Online) as titular character Madoka Kaname, Chiwa Saito (The irregular at magic high school, Monogatari Series) and Cristina Vee (Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel]) as the mysterious Homura Akemi, Emiri Kato (Monogatari Series, Granblue Fantasy the Animation) and Cassandra Lee Morris (PERSONA 5 the Animation, Sword Art Online) as the polarizing familiar Kyubey. The Puella Magi Madoka Magica series hit the scene in 2011 and quickly rose in popularity due to its surprisingly dark yet beautiful take on the Magical Girl genre.

All three parts are exceptionally animated by SHAFT (Monogatari series, Nisekoi), and feature an all-star production staff including Gekidan InuCurry (Doroinu) as chief director/series composition, aokiume for original main character concepts, and Akiyuki Shimbou serves as animation supervisor. The English dub versions feature ADR writer and Director Alex von David (Sword Art Online, Kill la Kill)

The films in this series have been out of print for quite some time and are highly sought after by fans of the series. With pre-orders now open through online retailer RightStuf Anime, there will be no need to make a contract with Kyubey to add these to your collection.
