Granrodeo Announces New Single “Treasure Pleasure,” the Opening Theme Song for the Anime Baki: Son of Ogre
Following their performances of “BEASTFUL,” the opening theme song for the popular martial arts anime Baki, and “Jonetsu wa Oboete iru,” the opening theme song for its story arc, Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga, the two-piece rock band GRANRODEO announced that they will be performing the opening theme song for the series' newest installation, Baki: Son of Ogre.
This will be GRANRODEO's 32nd single. The song is entitled “Treasure Pleasure” and goes on sale on October 13, 2021. With e-ZUKA on electric guitar, a horn section, and KISHOW's stunning vocals, it's an impressive and playful song that fuses GRANRODEO's signature rock and funk style, while staying true to the world view of Baki: Son of Ogre. In the anime's first trailer, you can hear part of the song, so make sure to check it out. It's also paired with another new song, so you can look forward to hearing that as well!
Included in the first limited edition Blu-ray is a video recording of their GRANRODEO LIVE 2021 “Rodeo Coaster” concert held on May 15 and a music clip of “Treasure Pleasure.” As a bonus, all of the special illustrations made exclusively for their new single “Treasure Pleasure” and the Baki: Son of Ogre and GRANRODEO collaboration, are also included. Don't take your eyes off GRANRODEO as they elevate their extended 15 year anniversary to new heights.

To date, they have released 31 singles and 8 original albums. In 2010, five years after forming, they performed at the Nippon Budokan.
GRANRODEO's KISHOW was the first male voice actor to perform at the Budokan as an artist.
Since then, they have done national tours, outdoor performances, and festivals, including a 2-day concert at Yokohama Arena in 2013 and concerts at Saitama Super Arena and Osaka-jo Hall in 2014.
In 2015, ten years after their debut, they held a 2-day concert at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 1-3. The caliber of their performances has garnered strong support from within the music industry and they have recently been performing at festivals such as Summer Sonic.
In 2018, they had their long-awaited first overseas performance. In 2019, they released their 8th original album and toured Japan with 18 performances at 11 locations nationwide.
In 2020, they released their first tribute album in August, and in November, they released their 15th anniversary greatest hits album, which contains their latest songs and the leading tracks from all of their singles—32 songs in total. On November 23, 2020, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut, they announced that they will be extending their anniversary. In February of 2021, Masaaki Iizuka was featured at e-XPO 2020 and GRANRODEO hosted the ROUND GR 2020 festival, where they performed a “revenge” live show. Then, on June 30, 2021, they released an album recording of their concert GRANRODEO Live Session “Rodeo Note” vol.1 at Blue Note Tokyo.
They are currently expanding their fan base through activities in a wide range of fields not limited to anime songs.
