Masafumi Mikami to Be Otakon 2022 Guest

Washington, D.C. (July 11, 2022)Masafumi Mikami of Gugenka will be a guest at Otakon 2022, according to Otakorp Inc.

Mikami is the CEO at Gugenko and also serves as XR producer and 3D anime producer. Gugenka is an XR creative studio that provides animation apps and services.

Mikami is one of the core producers of Japan to produce anime XR events, VR and AR products, such as "Hatsune Miku" theme park "MikuLand," "Sanrio Virtual Fes in Sanrio Puroland," which involved both real and virtual artists like Kizuna Ai, AKB48 and ShowByRock!!

He has also produced anime figure app HoloModels, the anime-style character creation app MakeAvatar, and others.

Otakon will be held from July 29-31 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
