Setsucon Opens Pre-Registration for Badges

ALTOONA, PA – Setsucon is excited to announce that pre-registration badges are now available for purchase for the upcoming 2024 convention. Pre-registration prices for the event are as followed: weekend badges are priced at $25, and includes the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday dates of the convention; Saturday only badges are priced at $15; and lastly, Sunday only badges are priced at $10. Prices for weekend badges will increase after August 16th through November 14th to $35; after that $40, until January 16th of 2024. The price will increase to $45 after January 17th and will stay that price at the con doors. Pre-registration can be found at www.setsucon.com/registration alongside registration policies.

Additionally, Setsucon will have Chaperone Weekend Badges for parents or chaperones (ages 18+) attending the convention with a minor (ages 6 – 17). This badge includes; a discounted rate of $25 starting August 16th, 2023, and access to the convention with an accompanying minor. This badge prevents the participation in gaming tournaments, contests, or 18+ tournaments. Limited to one chaperone badge per child (can be guardian to more than one child), and badges can be upgraded at any time for difference in price. Children aged five years old or younger can attend Setsucon 2024 for free if they have an accompanying parent/guardian.

Setsucon will also offer group rates this year. The pre-registration group rate will be 10% off to any group of 10 or more attendees who pre-register for badges and is not available at the convention doors.

ABOUT SETSUCON: Setsucon is organized by the Penn State Anime Organization at University Park. Starting out in 2007 at the Days Inn Penn State in State College, this student and alumni run event moved to Altoona in 2018 to continue growing and presenting a safe and inclusive family friendly convention to Pennsylvania and beyond. With nearly 1,500 attendees, it is one of the largest fandom events in Central Pennsylvania and the fourth largest annual anime convention in the state. Setsucon was named the Penn State Student Organization Program of the Year in2018. The next convention will be held February 2nd , 2024 through to February 4th, 2024 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
