Omoinotake Brings New Songs “Flashbulb” and “Hanataba” as Opening and Ending Themes for Hanazakari no Kimitachi e Season 2
Tokyo, Japan – Omoinotake has announced two brand-new songs, “FLASHBULB” and “Hanataba,” serving as the opening and ending themes for season two of the TV anime Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e, also abbreviated as Hana-Kimi. Both tracks were specially written for the highly anticipated new season of the beloved series.
The piano trio continues its rapid rise following the massive success of “Ikuokukonen,” the band's 2024 hit song featured as the theme for the Japanese drama Eye Love You. The track surpassed 600 million cumulative streams and became one of Japan's standout love songs of the year. Building on that momentum, Omoinotake also sold out its first-ever performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan venue in Tokyo, on March 15, 2026.
The opening theme, “FLASHBULB,” captures the fleeting brilliance of youth through a bright, fast-paced soundscape, expressing the excitement and emotions of days illuminated by the presence of someone special. Meanwhile, the ending theme, “Hanataba”, takes a more emotional approach as a mid-tempo song portraying hidden feelings of love and the quiet inner conflict of remaining “just friends.”
Omoinotake's comment:
“We are Omoinotake, and we are honored to perform both the opening and ending themes for season two of the TV anime Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e.
We are truly happy to be involved with a work that has been loved across generations and countries, and especially to contribute not just one, but two songs to it.
We poured all the emotions we received from the story into each song, the dazzling brilliance of youth into 'FLASHBULB,' and hidden feelings of love into 'Hanataba.'
We can't wait for the day these songs reach all of you.”
Fans have already gotten a first glimpse of both songs through the anime's newly released promotional video on the Aniplex YouTube Channel.
The anime will begin airing sequentially from Wednesday, July 1.
In addition, Omoinotake will release their major third album this fall. The band will also embark on a nationwide hall tour consisting of 14 performances, including three overseas cities. Official advance ticket sales for the domestic dates are currently open. More details about the album will be announced at a later date.

About the original Manga
Originally created by Hisaya Nakajo, Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e was serialized in the manga magazine Hana to Yume from 1996 to 2004 and later collected into 23 volumes. Following the success of its 2007 Japanese live-action adaptation, a deluxe 12-volume edition was also released. The manga series has surpassed 17 million copies in circulation.
The story follows Mizuki Ashiya, a girl who transfers from the United States to an all-boys high school in Japan while disguising herself as a boy, all in order to meet her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano. Its mix of romance, comedy, and school life made the series a massive hit, inspiring multiple live-action adaptations across Asia, including the popular Japanese drama Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e: Ikemen Paradise. Nearly 20 years after the manga's conclusion, the franchise continues to enjoy enduring popularity among fans worldwide.

About Omoinotake
Omoinotake is a Japanese piano trio from Shimane Prefecture, formed in Tokyo in 2012 by junior high school classmates Leo Fujii / Leo (Vocals & Keyboards), Tomoaki Fukushima / Emoaki (Bass), and Hironoshin Tomita / Drage (Drums). Known for their delicate yet deeply emotional vocals and lyrics, the band creates a distinctive groove they describe as music that makes listeners “dance and cry,” earning support from a wide range of audiences.
In 2020, their song “Moratorium” gained attention after being selected as a theme song for an animated feature film. Even before their major-label debut, Omoinotake had already built a strong following, surpassing 100,000 subscribers on YouTube through years of independent activity and street performances centered in Tokyo's Shibuya district.
The band made their major-label debut with Sony Music Labels in November 2021 with an EP featuring “EVERBLUE” the opening theme for the TV anime Blue Period. In 2022, “Shin-on” was chosen as the theme song for the film Cherry Magic THE MOVIE. They released their first major album “Ammolite” in September 2023, followed by a nationwide Zepp tour.
Their 2024 single “Ikuokukonen” became a massive hit, topping streaming charts and surpassing 600 million total streams. On January 29, 2025, the trio released its second major album Pieces. The band later launched the nationwide Omoinotake ONE MAN TOUR 2012–2025 “Shinka”, culminating in their first-ever solo concert at the iconic Nippon Budokan in March 2026, which sold out completely.
