Sept. 2, 2026 (Los Angeles) - Today, it was announced that the anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will premiere in Japan on Sunday, October 11. Alongside the reveal of the Super Surge visual, the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Super Surge trailer, built around all-new footage, has been unveiled in full, revealing details of the upcoming series' opening theme, "ONOGAMI" by MEGATERA・ZERO, and the ending theme, "Kan Peki No Peki " by VK Blanka, with comments arriving from both artists.

The God of Destruction Beerus, Frieza, and now ̶

With the premiere drawing near, the Super Surge visual has been revealed today. The striking visual captures the God of Destruction Beerus with a fearless smile as he sets his sights on Earth, alongside Goku's sharp expression as he stands against this overwhelming presence. Following the announcement at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 that set fans around the world ablaze, the visual showcases not only the appearance of Frieza, but also depicts the new threats targeting Earth, hinting at the further expansion of the story.

Opening with a Kamehameha, the trailer intercuts Goku with the God of Destruction Beerus foreshadowing an unprecedented crisis bearing down on Earth. In addition to Frieza, who once waged a deadly battle against Goku, formidable new foes appear one after another, conveying the expanding scope of a brand-new story and the evolution of Goku. The trailer also marks the first reveal of the opening and ending themes: set to VK Blanka's crystal-clear vocals and a refined, up-tempo rhythm, the ending depicts each of the companions taking on their own battles, while the opening, driven by MEGATERA・ZERO's vocals brimming with overwhelming intensity and an exhilarating guitar sound, showcases the fierce clash between Goku and Beerus, rendered with the powered-up visual expression unique to the ENHANCED edition. Anticipation builds even higher as the premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus approaches.

The opening theme is "ONOGAMI" by MEGATERA・ZERO, a singer-songwriter whose one-of-a-kind, powerful voice has earned explosive popularity online. The ending theme is "Kan Peki No Peki" by VK Blanka, a singer-songwriter who has captivated countless fans with a distinctive, crystalline voice and freely flowing melodies, who marks their 10th anniversary year starting this October. Portions of both songs are featured in the Super Surge trailer, adding further color to the work. MEGATERA・ZERO commented that this song was written to express, "those who fight with nothing but their own strength, who fight believing in ʻono ga mi,ʼ their own bodies and selves," and VK Blanka shared, "This song means a great deal to me ̶ I brought out everything I had inside."

Iʼve watched Dragon Ball since I was young, so much so that itʼs had a huge impact on my life. "ONOGAMI" is a song I wrote out of a desire to capture the fighters I found throughout Dragon Ball ̶ not only Goku and the others, but also the characters who showed up as formidable enemies ̶ those who fight with nothing but their own strength, who fight believing in "ono ga mi," their own bodies and selves. I'm truly happy to be part of the world of a series that means so much to the whole country.

Now, all these years later, to be able to take part as a musician is truly an honor! This is a song dear to me ̶ one I made by drawing out everything inside me: not only the "strength" and "courage" that Dragon Ball has always portrayed, but even the "sadness" and “injustice" that have always lain in their shadow.

The Panel Discussion “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus SPECIAL PANEL” Is Confirmed for New York Comic Con 2026!

The anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is set to appear at New York Comic Con 2026 ̶ one of the world's largest pop-culture celebrations, held in New York from October 8‒11, 2026 ̶ and details of its panel have now been revealed.
A world-premiere advance screening of the very first episode of the anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be held at the panel. Hosted by Monica Rial (English dub voice of Bulma), with guests Jason Douglas (English dub voice of Beerus) and Ian Sinclair (English dub voice of Whis) joining on stage.
It has also been revealed that panel attendees will receive a Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Big fan chain and face towel, as well as a Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Energy Marker as giveaways.

Introduction
The globally beloved manga DRAGON BALL by Akira Toriyama continues to captivate fans through a wide range of media̶from TV animation, movies, games, and merchandising̶standing as a top-ranked title with extraordinary worldwide popularity.
Now, in 2026, the anime Dragon Ball Super, based on Akira Toriyama's original work, story, and character design, is set to begin anew as Dragon Ball Super: Beerus! This ENHANCED edition introduces a large volume of newly added and redrawn cuts, as well as a reconstructed narrative. With cutting-edge visual expression, the series delivers even more immersive battle scenes and a more faithful representation of the original manga̶bringing an ENHANCED edition to life like never before.
Several years have passed since the fierce battle against Majin Buu, and Earth has finally regained a brief moment of peace. At the same time, Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his long, deep sleep.
Even Kai and Supreme Kai, aware of Beerusʼs overwhelming power to destroy entire planets, watch his awakening with great fear... Meanwhile, Beerus hears rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza̶and suddenly appears before Goku.
Targeted by Beerus, the strongest being in the universe, Earth is in grave danger. Thus begins an Earth- shattering cosmic battle between the God of Destruction and Goku and his allies̶a conflict that will shake the entire universe.

DRAGON BALL Title Information
The Dragon Ball phenomenon began in 1984 when Japanʼs well-known manga from Akira Toriyama premiered in Shueishaʼs “Weekly Shonen Jump” ‒ becoming a top ranked title throughout its 10 and a half years of publication. Even after the manga concluded, it continued its rise to becoming a globally beloved epic title, expanding into TV animation, movies, games, and merchandising.
Dragon Ballʼs popularity kept its momentum, and in 2013, the release of its serial movies was restarted for the first time in 17 years to much acclaim. Then, Dragon Ball Super by the author Akira Toriyama began to air in 2015. In 2022, the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was released, earning not only the number 1 spot at the Japanese box office in its first weekend, but also number 1 at the worldwide box office in its first week. In October 2024, on the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ballʼs serialization, the new series Dragon Ball Daima began and made its mark in the history of Dragon Ball! And starting October 2026, the anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is confirmed for broadcast and streaming!
