IDK I still think the genre Anime Referencing Tokusatsu peaked at Mobile Duty Combat Unit Shinesman.
There are a lot of those, mostly because there's a limited number of spaces where filming the types of things that happen in toku is allowed. |

Pretty sure that the whole Pretty Cure franchise is also largely influenced by tokusatsu.

If I recall correctly Sailor Moon, which is basically a precursor to Precure along with Tokyo Mew Mew, was conceived as the female answer to Super Sentai. |

Gotta say, I was really disappointed to not see the greatness that is Shinesman mentioned at all in this TWIA. To this day I still can't look at the seafood section at the grocery store without wanting to yell "Salmon Pink!"

Wouldn't be surprised if Saban was a bit salty about their jab at Power Rangers and had a hand it preventing it from ever being seen in the west
