I love Gundam, for instance. There's room for metaseries. But I think more room should be given to original anime, like Evangelion was in the day. New projects.

I was wondering how they'll capture the execution style which seems to be an Anno's signature, but then I remembered SSSS. Gridman and Darling in the Franxx.

Whatever the project is, I'll definitely be looking forward to it.

Come to think of it, wasn't there a recent (stage?) adaptation that went with its own characters and story? I wonder how that was received.

Ooh. Such a bold take.

There's probably at least a whole film's worth of stuff happening between the 2nd and 3rd Rebuild movies that would probably make the third one make a lot more sense.

He's mentioned this before and I've dreaded it ever since 3.0+1.0 which I loathe. There's only two series i consider masterpieces: Katanagatari and NGE+EoE. Respectfully, lemme say it forum rules- fudge Rebuild. just one sausage opinion and idw discuss it here except to say one thing: More Eva sounds like a new cycle of Asuka suffering and I can go my whole life without seeing that again in some new barely creative way.

edit: wow auto-censor.

This is the moment that Tony Takezaki has been waiting for!

It'll be the greatest thing since Full Metal Panic FUMMOFU!

Do it, Anno! Laughing

Adaptation of the manga, please. It’s very different from the anime, and fleshes out the characters further.

That would be cool. Among all versions, I like the manga one the best.

Would be nice to get a movie about events that took place between 2.0 and 3.0. It seems quite a lot happened behind the scenes

Somehow Gendo Ikari returned. All spin-offs (outside of the manga) suck the Rebuild took a dive after the second film. Enough is enough. I will turn of a film after 20 minutes or give up on a show after 1 ep if it doesn´t start strong out of the gate. The IP ran out of ideas in the 90s. Not everything can sustain a multiverse. Nearly nothing can. There is some gas last in Gunbuster and Wings of Honneamise. Even Nadia could support a short form prequel but not Eva. Let Gainax die in dignity.

I'm aware this won't happen, but adaptations for the Re-Take, Angelic Days, and/or Campus Apocalypse manga would be exciting.

Re-Take is a fan-made manga series, not an official one.

I'm very much aware. My point remains that a hypothetical animated adaptation would still be neat, even though I'm still very much aware it could never happen.
