Given the epic awfulness of the first two-thirds of this series, it comes as no small surprise that this concluding third actually does not (entirely) suck. It actually manages some good moments in ascending to the level of mediocrity.

The creators must have been hoping that viewers would be too distracted by all the talking heads lecturing on about wishes and free will to notice that this anime series is undistinguished in virtually every particular.

An entertaining little ditty of a story that just goes to show that, once again, you should never ever judge a book by its cover. Minima!, much like its meerkat toy hero, comes to exuberant life when you're least expecting it.

Basilisk Limited Edition DVD 6
The bloody and tragic tale comes to an end as, one way or another, each of the remaining ninja must confront their fates. The ultimate result shouldn't surprise, but the entertainment is in seeing how it gets there and enjoying the fine visuals along the way.
